Private, Semi-Private &
Tri-Private Swim Lessons

Private (1 on 1), Semi-Private (2 on 1), Tri-Private (3 on 1) swimming lessons
may be booked with the aquatic center staff. The five class sessions (30
min. each) are arranged
directly through the Head Instructor or Pool Manager by calling 563-7799.
Call early because instructors fill up fast!
Fees range from $35 to $70
Class Descriptions
|
Parent / Tot - Splish, splash and a fun way to get your child accustomed to the water. Each child must be accompanied in the water by an adult. The instructors will assist adults in water games to benefit their child. Children should wear swim diapers if not potty trained. |
Level 3b (Frogs) - Students continue work on front crawl with rhythmic breathing, back crawl and elementary backstrokes with an emphasis on improving endurance. |

Level 1 ( Puddlers ) - This class is for beginning swimmers to gain confidence in the water through supported floating and kicking and submerging their heads. |
Level 4 (Stroke Development) - Students will review front and back crawl and concentrate on elementary backstroke and sidestroke kicks. |

Level 2a (Polywogs) - Swimmers master front and back floats and glides. Polywogs are also introduced to the front and back crawl. |
Level 5 (Stroke Refinement) - This class familiarizes students with breaststroke, sidestroke, turns at the wall and butterfly kick. |

Level 2b (Guppies) - Children will learn the coordination of front and back crawl along with rhythmic breathing and turning over from front to back. |
Level 6 (Skill Proficiency) - This class is aimed at refining all strokes, with continued practice of the butterfly. Students will also be introduced to springboard diving, flip turns and gain knowledge of advanced rescue techniques.. |

Level 3a (Tadpoles) - This class refines front crawl and back crawl techniques and introduces elementary backstroke and treading water. |
