- A great companion program with Indoor
Tennis - as you get a little exercise while playing video games. Different tournaments played daily, ranging from

with an overall champion crowned on Friday.

INDOOR SOCCER
(Grades K-3)

Each Saturday, players will practice a soccer skill, then it's game time for
the rest of the hour. All players will get to play on offense, defense
and be a goalie by the end of the program. Teams are formed by grade
and school. The Municipal Gym will be transformed into an indoor
soccer stadium and a soft soccer ball is used to make play safer and the
ball easier to control.

- Strap on the flags, get your play in the huddle and then score the
winning touchdown! Teams are coached by members of the Fort Atkinson
Blackhawk football team - with help from parents. Teams meet on
Saturday for a partial practice, then play a scrimmage game. 3rd
graders not interested in playing tackle football are welcome to play flag
football. Note: Listen to WFAW 940AM (8:15-8:45) (if
inclement weather) Also: We need parent volunteers
for coaches. At 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, the coaches get the lesson
plan for the day and brief discussion on teaching techniques. Call

Blackhawk Stadium field.

WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS
(Ages 4/5 Grade K) - What sport do you
like? If you like them all or want to try then all, then Wide World of
Sports is for you! Instructors will teach a new sport each week and
include basic rules, simple skills, fun contests and kids will get to see
all the equipment needed to play each sport. This is a very
non-competitive atmosphere - with safe, proper size sports balls used.
Sports include Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football, and Volleyball.
At the end of each class, kids will get to try on jerseys and equipment used
by the Blackhawk high school teams!

T-BALL
(Age
5 & Current Grade K) - Here's your first chance to hit the Big
Leagues! Children are taught the proper techniques of throwing,
catching, hitting and running the bases. A low-key, fun style will be
used to teach the fundamentals early in the season with instructional games
played the rest of the season. Safety balls and bats are used so
players may gain confidence more quickly. Players should provide their
own glove, however a limited number of gloves will be available at the site.
Games, starting the week of June 27, will be played at the same time you
sign up for, but may be played on a different day. This program includes
a special evening session on Friday, July 22 called "Hot Dogs for Dad,
Munchies for Mom" that includes a small meal while parents watch their kids
play beneath the lights at Memorial Park.

One last stop before you join the Fort Youth Baseball or Girls
Softball evening leagues. Games will become more competitive
as players get to hit off our staff "aces". Following a two week training practice the basics of
throwing, fielding, base running and hitting - it is time to PLAY
BALL!! Then teams will be formed and games begin the week of
June 27. Team defense, base running and hitting will be
emphasized during the ball games. Safety baseballs and bats are used
during the drills and games. Players should bring their own gloves
and hat. (Some gloves will be available from the Parks & Rec. Dept.)
Games will be played at the
same time you sign up for, but may be played on a different day.
(Example: if you sign up for Coach Pitch 1 all of your games will be
at 8:30am, but may also be played on Tuesday and Thursday)
Any current 3rd graders not interested in playing in the Fort
Youth Baseball evening league may participate in Coach Pitch. This

to serves and overheads. More advanced players will fine tune their
play through game situations and use of the ball machine. Each session

racquets are provided, if needed. Friday "Lessons Tournaments" will be

Easter Egg Hunt
(Ages 1-7 and Ages 16+) - SPONSORED BY PARKS AND
RECREATION, VERLO MATTRESS FACTORY OF FORT ATKINSON
AND FORT OPTIMIST CLUB. Hop on over to Jones Park RAIN OR SHINE and help us
find over 2,500 eggs the Easter Bunny has left for the kids of Fort
Atkinson. All parents and children will gather at the Jones Park
Concession Stand and at 10:00 a.m. for instructions and signal to start the
hunt. Kids will be split into two different groups depending on their
age to search for the eggs. Also, 12 lucky participants will win
a special GIANT EASTER BASKET from the Easter Bunny. Bring your
camera to get a picture with the Easter Bunny and Mattress Man.
NEW: there will be a concession stand open from 9:30-10:45am
with proceeds going to purchase blankets and stuffed animals for hospitals,
and emergency rescue personnel to hand out to kids.
RETURNING: Adult only (16 years of age and
older) Easter Egg Hunt will take place after the children's.

line of SNAG Golf products - all the equipment and targets will be

(Grades 5K-2)
- This four day preview of our summer baseball programs will get your
child looking forward to the end of the school year and the start of a
fun summer ! Safety bats and balls are used to better
instruct players in hitting, throwing, and catching.
Some baseball gloves will be provided - if needed.
Session 1: Grades K-1 (1st graders who did not play last summer)
Time: 11:00-11:45 a.m.
Session 2: Grades 1 & 2
Time: 10:15-11:00 a.m.

Girls Fast Pitch Softball Camp (Grades 3-8)
Join the Blackhawk High School coaching staff and players as they teach you
the skills of hitting, throwing, fielding and game play in this 1 day camp.
It's a great tune up for rookies or veteran players who want to play in
the summer Girls Softball League. Campers will be split into two
levels: Grades 3-4-5 & Grades 6-7-8.
Starts: Wednesday, March 31
Time: 12:30-3:00 p.m.
Fee $15 includes t-shirt (Note: $20 if
after March 19)
Location: Ralph Park Softball Diamonds
(Rain Date: Thursday, April 1. If bad weather on the rain

Have fun with dribbling games, shooting contest and relays to learn the game
of basketball. Last 3 weeks will be spent splitting up your hour and

- Play popular games such as Dodge ball, Kickball, Frisbee Golf, Fling
Sock Attack, and more in this after school open gym type setting. Led
by an enthusiastic staff - kids will burn some after school energy on
Mondays.

Easter Egg Hunt
(Ages 1-7) - SPONSORED BY VERLO MATTRESS FACTORY OF FORT ATKINSON
AND FORT OPTIMIST CLUB,
hop on over to Jones Park RAIN OR SHINE and help us
find over 2,500 eggs the Easter Bunny has left for the kids of Fort
Atkinson. All parents and children will gather at the Jones Park
Concession Stand and at 10:00 a.m. for instructions and signal to start the
hunt. Kids will split into two different groups depending on their age
to search for the eggs. Also, 12 lucky participants will win a special
GIANT EASTER BASKET from the Easter Bunny. Bring your
camera to get a picture with the Easter Bunny and Mattress Man.
NEW an Adult only Easter Egg Hunt will take place after the
children's. 12 lucky adults will also win a prize.

School. Teams are formed in early May with an evaluation practice.
Teams practice from May-July. Games are played mid
June through the end of July. The league is divided into two
divisions: Grades 3 - 4 - 5 and Grades 6 - 7 - 8. (grades are based on
current grades)

Using a special indoor soccer ball, teams
will be formed by grades and schools with an emphasis on playing the game.
First part of each class will be instruction time where a new fundamental
will be introduced. The rest of the class time will be spent playing
in our special indoor soccer arena.

SPRING 2008
INDOOR SOCCER
(Grades K-3) -
Each Saturday, our soccer staff will review a soccer skill or strategy for
about 10 minutes - then it's game time for the rest of the hour. The
Municipal Gym will be transformed into an indoor soccer stadium and a soft
soccer ball is used to make play safer and the ball easier to control.

Easter Egg Hunt
(Ages 1-7) -
SPONSORED BY VERLO MATTRESS FACTORY OF FORT ATKINSON, hop on over to Jones Park
RAIN OR SHINE and help us
find over 2,000 eggs the Easter Bunny has left for the kids of Fort
Atkinson, All parents and children will gather at the Jones Park Concession Stand and at 10:00 a.m.
for instructions and signal to start the hunt. Kids will split into
two different groups depending on their age to search for the eggs.
Also, 12 lucky participants will win a special GIANT EASTER BASKET from the
Easter Bunny. Verlo's own Mattress Man will be on hand passing out
prizes to the kids as well. Bring your camera to get a picture with
the Easter Bunny and Mattress Man.

Smart Golf (Ages 5 ONLY)
Based off our popular Start Smart & Pee Wee Sport Series your child will
spend four days learning how to drive, chip and putt with your guidance. Our
instructor shows the parents the proper techniques and teaching hints to be
most successful for this age group. The final day will be spent playing the
Championship Par 3 course built right in our own gym. Using the innovative
line of SNAG Golf products - all the equipment and targets will be
provided. Minimum class size of 6 - Maximum class size of 12.

(Grades 1-5) - Here's a great way to get some exercise during
Spring Break vacation. The kids will be kept busy during the one hour

participant will get a chance to pick from our prize bin at the end of each hour.
