Haumerson Pond has been a long time ice skating location in Fort Atkinson - mostly on the pond connecting to the Bark River.  A land hockey rink has also been developed just west of the pond area. 

Recently added to the Haumerson Pond site is the Bark River Nature Park which includes a scenic trail.  The trail begins next to the warming house and trail signs will lead you to a peaceful walk or a stop at the handicap accessible fishing pier and canoe launch.  Along the trail benches are positioned to enjoy beautiful views of the Bark River and two walking bridges lead you to an island or over a creek.  Fall leaves reflecting off of the Bark River will make you appreciate this hidden gem - the Bark River Nature Trail.
